Reald-world sector permanent bandboxing?

Hi all,
I'm slowly working my way through the TC sectors again, getting used to the new traffic flows and standing agreements.

There are some sectors that, if operated standalone, seem to be very quiet or not tactically demanding and I can't imagine these are ever operated by themselves in reality.

Thinking particularly of DAGGA and GODLU (though I may have just had quiet sessions).

Are there any sectors that are normally permanently bandboxed either in TC or AC?

All about that realism, after all...

Graham This would be really useful, thanks Graham! Often hear aircraft in real life on a frequency that I know must be bandboxed with another sector but can’t work out which ones they are.

When you select more than one sector to control, is the traffic reduced for the bandboxed sectors?

Not really... the reason sectors are bandboxed in the first place is due to low traffic demand/load; once it starts picking up is when they usually get split. You can increase or decrease the amount of traffic that's presented to you using the menu ('Increase' or 'Decrease' under 'Simulation' menu), irrespective of whether you're bandboxed or otherwise.

JSJ The S27/S32 split is as follows:

S27

o LTMA inbounds on BNN, SPEAR, LOREL + JACKO arrivals

o SU (Duxford), SG (Stapleford), SX (North Weald) inbounds

o MTMA outbounds with intention codes D, C, EB, EX, AM and AS

S32:

o LTMA inbounds that are to be level by PEPUL/DISIT

o MTMA outbounds with intention codes H, E, V, P

o AVANT-TNT northbound overflights

o All overflights

Those who are in the know may correct me, but I'm not sure the two sectors are ever split in reality - hence the fact S32 is not simulated in London Control.

PennineRadar These two sectors do spend most of their time bandboxed but they have been split in the past on very busy days (typically summer-time). They are looking to re-introduce the sector-split this year with the expected increase in traffic levels.
