Speech recognition not working

Speech recognition doesn't work, it did work just after the update but i had to move the pc and rewired everything. Since then the speech re software doesn't work, i don't even get a ding. The microphone is working correctly, (Discord, whatsapp calls etc) but nothing happens when in london control. I reinstalled completly just in case but it's still not working, any ideas?

AlexdAviator have a look at the forum thread entitled "Speech recognition | Question re registry update" - see if there is any help that can be gleaned from there. Evidently something has gone amiss when you relocated your PC.

Graham thanks, i already had a look at that thread but safe to say i’m not really competent enough to know what they are talking about. But i think i’ll manage, i’ll let you know.
Also after reinstalling i also deleted all the addon sectors and i can’t find the download link for the scottish FIR, any idea where i could get it?

Alright so the issue was that the system was trying to listen from a microphone device that wasn't plugged in, after making sure it used the right one it started working. Today after restarting the PC it does understand that i'm talking but it now dings every time and doesn't recognise my instructions. Any ideas?

Having the same/similar issue?

Option for Speec Rec. is ticked when I start, the window opens and says Connected (no errors), after I talk there's a ding- nothing happens and I also don't get any replies.

There are no options/configuration from what I can tell to specify the audio input/outputs sadly, but I tried to manually pick the input device in the Windows Volume Mixer to the correct microphone- still no luck.

There also doesn't appear to be an Enable Speech Recognition option inside the simulation in 'Simulation' -> 'Radios' like the documentation says (F1).

Like does the tone it mean it didn't understand me, the aircraft doesn't exist, etc.?
