Traffic rates issue

Hi, when controlling any sector, it seams like after maybe an hour or two, the rate of traffic plummets to near 0, is there a fix to this, or is this by design?

LewisS check your start time, usually traffic dies down at around 11 PM

I'm currently playing, started at 16:00, has now started to die down at 17:00.

Also important are the settings of the transatlantic tracks and the sector you control. If running Southerly tracks S3/4 will be quieter than when you run them on Northerly.

LewisS I have this morning run a number of sectors on various rates and cannot replicate any reduction in traffic.

Tried it with a re-install and still is doing the same thing, this time at NORTH and no traffic appearing in any sector at 01:50

LewisS we have done some testing at our end and think we have found the culprit; this will be rectified and instructions distributed shortly.

Graham Hey team. Is this fix easy to sort? Would be good to make a small tweak to a file (I'd imagine) and rectify things when you have time to respond.

Hi,

Yes, this is easily solved.

We wanted the flights to spawn closer to real time — ideally within an hour — and that change was successful. However, the unintended consequence is that now only an hour’s worth of flights are loaded when the program starts.

The next update, scheduled for December, will address this issue.

In the meantime, if you wish to amend it yourself, open the ATC.ini file and look for the RPLTIME setting. Try increasing this value to 2 or 3.
