Hi all,
In the first iteration of the sim, I remember that Luton Approach was a relatively nice and easy affair - take the traffic from the Luton gate, establish it, slow it and transfer it - done.
Now though, trying to tackle it, it feels like a completely different kettle of fish - busy, the hold at ZAGZO and a new routing to the final approach fix at FITME.
Can anyone provide any pointers?
For example:
- When is it right to descend traffic from the stack?
- What are the RMA altitude restrictions for Luton?
- Would an aircraft normally follow the routing in full and then be turned to establish from FITME, or are controllers still expected to use headings from ZAGZO?
Lastly, is it my responsibility to co-ordinate the traffic descending into the stack? I just ran a session with a traffic rate of 7 and there were STCAs all over the place as everything was being descended by LOREL sector to the MSL (FL080).
Cheers,
(A bewildered) Joe.
