Thought I'd upload my NODE code, the radar display colours are accurate as of 2010

I've gone with an EFPS type strip on screen (orange eastbound, blue westbound) - in the tactical bay standing agreements to meet show in black, coordination shows in yellow and green once accepted just like the real world

Ho hoopla-dash, thanks for your upload; this scheme looks very fine! You said, "... just like the real world" - are you a real-world controller? The NODE colour scheme is publicly available in PDFs published by NATS or even AIRPROX reports

Many sources point to the same exact colour scheme - I've tweaked the code from my post above to make NODE even more realistic, see below

STCA Red is now the accurate colour
Aircraft highlight (focus) colour is now green not white
Title font colour the correct shade of grey
Military transits show in the EFPS highlight colour
Strips no longer highlight as you mouse over them
Default set to 5 history dots
Size ratios between text, labels, tracks, lists is more consistent - however you may need to tweak all settings up or down a notch depending on your display resolution

Spongey Thanks for the images. I wish London Control would allow the mixed diamond/dot trails as shown in your photos. The diamond option is a fixed size, so no way to replicate the Node display trails accurately.

Also the spacing in the 'slash' trails in the AC photo can't be replicated accurately, because the gap between each slash in London Control is far too big. I used to be able to reduce the 'UpdateCycle' in ATC ini to get the gaps in trails closer together, but whatever number I use now, the spacing doesn't change. I use to use 'UpdateCycle 4', but this no longer seems to work. I don't use the slash trail because they are far too long on screen!

If I've created a custom set of preferences and 'set as default for LTCC' is it normal to have to reload them at the start of each session?

If you've set a default preference for LTCC (or any or other option), you don't need to reload it each time you start LC. Just check you've SAVED it once you've set it as the default.

Thanks Graham - unfortunately it doesn't load, the .pre and .ini files although these are set as default and saved - I can load them up from the preferences menu once a session has started.

Also, be sure that the files are saved in the London Control/London FIR subdirectory, as that's where the program will be looking for them.

Thanks - done some more digging following reading a few more threads - I think it wasn't installing properly (I'm on Mac) and wasn't showing pre any preference profiles (NODE / Modern etc) or saving preferences properly.

If anybody else is using this on Mac and Whisky - 'building' the software using Windows 8 seems to work properly.

Hi, why does the tactical list show what it does (for LL), instead of something that makes more sense such as BIG | OCK | BNN | LAM? Can I change this?

StasT because we need to know where the aircraft go! It is called IntentionCode. Every flight shows where it is due to land in UK airspace or the fix it leaves UK airspace.

Also, what are your recommended label settings? I find wake important so I have it, but its too much especially for a minimum 2.5nm separation approach path like LL.

StasT label settings depend on the sector you are controlling. And in the SIM personal preference. You can have in there what you like. I personally find that Approach sectors benefit from Type, Cleared Level, Heading and Speed. AC/TC sectors Intention code, Cleared Level, Exit Level, Nav.

Is or will it be possible to make the cleared FL/alt, speed and nav on a separate screen/menu? For example a strip that u change. So basically the combined menu style but on another screen, or detached from the a/c labels? That would be very helpful to increase visibilty on the screen. So for example my APP prefrences labels could just be callsign, alt, g speed and wake.

No, the lists and labels are what they are. Use function keys (F1-F12) to do things like override heightfilter, filter out your traffic, see types, speed etc. They can be quite useful.
