Hi, I have an original copy of LC from 20+ years ago and still use it.
I'm now installed on Windows 11, but the voice recognition no longer works. I leave the Windows Speech Recognition sleeping and I enable voice recognition when I launch LC. If I use the PTT and speak, aircraft reply only with their callsign, or say 'maintain heading' or 'maintain FLXXX'. So, it appears that the correct aircraft are hearing me, but they're not interpreting my spoken commands.
I don't think there are any issues with my speech quality or headset because if I use the Windows Speech Recognition training facility, it seems to hear everything I say.
Has the new version of LC got an its own voice recognition engine or does it rely on the Windows system?
I saw reference to Voice Access, but I've not updated Windows yet so still have Speech Recognition, as far as I can see.
Does anyone have any suggestions of the best way forward?
