AidenCook Hi Aiden
Any sector not controlled manually, is under Automatic Control. The aircraft follow preprogrammed tracks when under Automatic Control. I understand your frustration of building a nice little sequence as IntN and then Fin messes it up. Unfortunately this is a difficult one to get a 100% smooth, due to the nature of the Approach Sectors. In TMA and AC sectors this is not really noticeable as much. Hence personally I will only run Approach sectors bandboxed, but tend to avoid them altogether. Obviously, the rate has to come down when bandboxed in order to be able to get your transmissions in. Real life issue in London airspace! Frequency being busy tends to be the limiting factor of how many planes you can shift in any sector/airport.
Regarding coordination, you can only coordinate with the sector you receive from or hand off to for each flight. Handing off is really only the level. So once, as IntN, you have handed a plane off to FIN, there is nothing more you can do with it, apart from watching it. Regarding receiving planes, you can change level, DCT to waypoint or on heading, and speed from previous sector. But this is very much like real life. LLFIN is not going to ask BNN or LAM to put an aircraft on a specific speed, as that will be IntN’s job. The Automatic Controller does not learn or can be made smarter, it just does as programmed. So anyone reporting issues is useful. That info will be used in order to possibly tweak the data, so it stops you getting blamed for a loss of separation. There is a thread with what other info is helpful, and screenshots are always a good source of info.
Multiplayer is a tricky one as you’ll have seen in other threads. I don’t know anything about how that would/could be achieved, that is for the LC team to answer. I just understand the data and know a thing or 2 about ATC.
Hope this answer some of your questions.
Cheers, C
